Michael, So many happy memories in that back family room at Mom and Dad's house. That room was the fulfillment of a dream that Dad had for a long time and worked very hard to make come true! He was never happier than when his kids and grandkids were home!
Michael -- I really enjoyed your list. We all loved that back family room. Your Aunt Mona didn't say, but she actually helped Dad some in building that room. I was "too busy" working and everything during that time, so he'd ask her to help when he needed a second set of hands. You may not know but the walls of that room were made from wooden ammunition boxes that Dad bought at the Navy Depot and took apart. He then put them into 6 X 8 foot sheets to go up as the walls. -- Uncle Karl
